Hunter 456 description- The Cape Dory 27 is a diesel: powered auxiliary sloop capable of sailing most anywhere.
- In her main cabin, the bulkhead: mounted table swings up and out of the way when not in use. She is a standout with generous use of teak trim on deck.
- A well: known and proven design form Beneteau with the sought after Pullman berth master cabin and ensuite head. This is a never chartered, privately used boat that has recently come down from the states. She has been significantly upgraded in recent times to include solar, wind generator and large chart plotter so is easy to cruise and live on off the grid. The seller had planned to have her standing rigging and keel bolts replaced, However, this has not yet been done, in the event that the seller receives a fair offer, he is willing to have both of these jobs completed as part of the sale. - Hull and deck: She has recently had her hull faired and topsides and deck painted, 2012: 2014. Hull and deck both sounded well before purchase, with no springy spots noted. Hull is solid laminate, no core. All deck fittings and winch gear are included in sale, but will require installation and bedding in the spring.
- Auxiliary propulsion and mechanical: Atomic 4 engine installed. The engine turns over with good compression. Fuel tank is clean and in good condition. Comes with Martec folding prop.
- Steering: Inboard rudder, tiller steered. The rudder is NEW with NEW rudder post bushings, a common failure area on older Pearsons.
- Cabin: Refit needs to be finished. Galley equipment is included, including Origo 2 burner alcohol stove and sink. Head has received NEW toilet and NEW holding tank, so that stinky job is DONE! Bulkheads are solid. Cushions are clean, but worn and due for replacement.
