S2 8.5 - Beam: 9.5
- Draft: 4.5
- Description: I've had the pleasure of owning the boat for three years, but the we just don't have the time to enjoy it so it needs to move on to someone else. The boat is currently at the Virginia Inland Sailing Association on Smith Mountain Lake near Moneta, VA. The boat has a roller furling jib trimmed in black along with black mast, black sail and helm covers. Steering is via wheel. I have been working on upgrading the boat since I got it. I have just had all of the interior cushions recovered in a outdoor durable fabric, they are so new that they've only been carried onto the boat. The engine is a Yanmar 1GM 8hp inboard diesel. I have just completed a cylinder head rebuild as it had a corroded exhaust valve. The starter and alternator were rebuilt at the same time, as they were already removed for the cylinder head job. I also had the fuel injector cleaned. It will come with a new Interstate Marine starting battery. The boat also has a small LCD TV and DVD player for watching movies or listening to music at the dock. It also has a microwave that is sitting on top of the alcohol stove. I've never tried the stove, but the microwave works great. There are two places on the topside that need some fiberglass work. I had started on one of the areas which is the outboard corner of the companionway wall. There is also an area around the front hatch that needs some work. I have bought a new larger hatch to help make the repair easier. I will try to get better pictures of these areas as soon as I can. Other than that the decks are very solid. The boat has not been out of the water since I have owned it and it is due for bottom paint. I really love this boat, but as I just can't justify ownership when we can only make it there a few days a year. I will add pictures as I find them in my phone and try to take new ones if I can get to the dock. I have priced the boat well below it's value to try to move it quickly.
