Wharram Tiki 64 equipment

  • Full: batten mainsail
  • * Sail Tube -- "SSI Toy Box" -: rotomoulded very large storage for sails, booms, tillers and more.
  • * White Hulls -: solid dry hulls, no soft spots, very tight boat.
  • * Sails -: color "Tidal Wave". One set main and jib in excellent shape.
  • Fuel Tanks: Aluminum (14 Gallons)
  • Log: speedometer
  • * Halyard Grip Kit -: this is a guide installed on one side of the mast, that you guide the jib halyard through before securing it. Holds the halyard against the mast, keeping it out of the way and preventing the jib battens from hanging up in the halyard, allowing for smoother and quicker tacks, especially in light winds.
  • * Mast Hinge Kit -: Murray's heavy duty mast hinge which is stronger than standard Hobie hinge and helps keep everything lined up when raising mast.
  • * Dakine Catamaran Footstraps -: on the top rear of each hull. Allow you to lock a foot in and securely trapeze from the extreme far rear of the hull. Serve dual purpose as a carry handle. Nothing like sailing on a broad reach in 20 to 30 knot winds out on the trapeze and hanging off the aft end of the boat.
  • * Jib traveler kit -- Trentec super low: profile 1552 jib cars needed for racked back masts combined with low profile color coded lance cleats.
  • * Harken 6-1 Low Profile mainsheet system -: 57mm line, light weight system, low profile with ratchet and light air modes. Unloaded runs freely during mark roundings and jibes.
  • * Aussie Jib Halyard system : Reduce mast compression by 66%! The Aussie Jib Halyard Kit allows easier tacking, better mast rotation and consistent mast bend! Includes Hobie tramp zip pouch allowing you to secure the extra line on the tramp out of the way untangled.

Wharram Tiki 64 description

  • This vessel can really move with excellent sailing performance in even the lightest winds : she readily sails when other cruising yachts have to motor. She can reach speeds above 20 knotts with daily runs approaching 300nm. Her performance as a cruiser has been well tested, having completed multiple ocean crossings.
  • Even with all the upgrades : The boat is Racing Class Legal for all Hobie Sanctioned races.
  • This is a well: built sloop that is very seaworthy sailboat.
  • An exceptional yacht : this "new generation" Prout Catamaran is a spacious, comfortable, blue water cruising vessel, reflecting the latest in multihull design and construction. Modern and sophisticated, this vessel delivers the latest in luxury sailing. She offers a rig optimized for performance, and ease of use; while a spacious, 4 stateroom layout, featuring roomy cabins, an expansive salon and a hard covered cockpit, offers a standard of living which rivals that of many an opulent apartment ashore. The result is a performance cruising boat, with all of the comforts of home.

  • The Nonsuch 30 is a 1980 Classic, hull #33. It has a diesel engine with a saildrive two blade fixed prop. Originally it had a folding prop but it proved to be problematic. The boat has just the basic inventory : no dodger, no bimini, etc.. The lines are just a few years old ( halyards, sheet, dock lines ). I was going to take the sail in to have two batten pockets sewn but haven't done so yet. I was also going to have the knot meter and depth sounder replaced before the start of the season. The hull is in good shape as is the interior. The boat has been a one owner boat and has been tended to as need arose. The boat has only been cruised twice on Lake Ontario and day sailed the rest of the time. In fact, over the last few years it hasn't even left its dock ( no time to sail ). Currently in Niagara On the Lake but not in the water. You can contact me by email or phone 905 735 7585. Marine survey completed last June and available for viewing upon request.
