• Description: Swift Marine built 12 of these boats in late 70's. This was the last one and was never finished and sold(unassembled) and was passed around until I bought it in 1996. I "modernized" the well built epoxy boat with Harken travelers, lazy jacks, Pro-Furl jib, etc. In 2014, I pulled the boat and did a major refit including new paint. It is kept on on a boat lift. It has a forward double bunk that sleeps reasonably well and two cabin single bunks more suitable for children. The Honda 4 stroke is in a well aft of cockpit. It is tiller steered. All electronics have been removed. The sails were replaced in 2012. The centerboard in retractable when in shallow waters and the rudder(Corsair 31')also kicks up.

• The Dufour A 9000 is a fast ship with good upwind performance. The behavior at sea is very pleasant and we had never : even in high seas breaking a bad feeling with our ship. The oblique stem, the attached rudder with skeg, the keel firmly welded to the massive frames and solid construction to withstand give you the feeling and the worst storm this ship can be. Thus, the yacht has an empty weight of aluminum construction, despite more than 9 tonnes.
