- Gumdrop yawls were designed by K. Aage Nielsen and built by Paul E. Luke in East Boothbay, Maine to excellent standards. Nielsen is particularly well known for his beamy shoal: draft centerboarders, which show a very good turn of speed for their length and comfortable accommodations for their size. MAGIC is one of six sisters built to the Gumdrop design. She has been upgraded over the years as required and well cared for by very knowledgeable owners. Current owner purchased the vessel in 2010. Marine survey from 2010 is available.
