Albin vega 82.2 description- KATE II had an illustrious racing career in the Pacific Northwest, and won her share of trophies, most notably the 140: mile Swiftsure Lightship Classic that runs the entire length of the Juan de Fuca Strait, from Victoria, B.C., around the lightship on the Swiftsure Bank at the entrance to the strait, and back. Between 1957 and 1962 KATE II won her class five times, earning the nickname "Consistent Kate." In the 1960 race she took the Swiftsure trophy for 1st place overall.
- OWNERS REMARKS: Pogeyan was purchased in 2011 and transformed from a coastal cruising yacht to an ocean passage maker in the same year. She has been sailed predominately in very remote locations. Her list of spares and equipment reflect the need to be self sufficient in locals far from the average sailor. She is a proven passage maker with a safe and comfortable motion at sea. No expense has been spared in her upgrades and upkeep. She continues to sail the Pacific Ocean.
