Alden cutter 51 description- Freedom is the last pre: war ocean racing yacht built by Herreshoff Manufcturing Company, Bristol, R.I. Launched on June 15th, 1938, her pleasing design from the boards for John Alden is typical of many beautiful boats hailing from the "Golden Age" of yachting, before WWII.

- Spacious interior with plenty of storage. Sleeps 7. Forward features a large, private V: berth. Double hanging lockers converted to cedar stripped shelves. Porcelain head with stainless steel sink with pressurized hot/cold water. Built in hot/cold shower in open cockpit. The main salon features “U” shaped settee with a large, convertible dinette table that makes into a double bed. Single settee starboard, (with insulted 'colder' to store beverages on ice, drains into bilge), facing dinette for additional seating and bed. Galley is located starboard of the companionway with excellent storage, refrigerated icebox and 2 burner stove/oven. A private aft cabin is port of the companionway and includes a double berth, locker and navigation table.
