Allied Seabreeze 35 description- The Allied Boat Company, known for their quality of construction and classic design, built 135 Seabreeze hulls between 1963: 1972 and were available as a ketch or sloop rig. Their construction is strong without being inordinately heavy and the keel c/b make her the cruising sailors dream machine. The 35 Seabreeze is known for its sailing ability and blue water potential. Great for coastal waters with a draft of 3'9" to 7 she will take you where ever your dreams may lead you.
- Aesthetically the " Ephriam W " is a knock out: her dark blue hull and her beautiful bright work on deck and below her graceful classic lines will definitely catch every one's eye when you enter a harbor. She has been sailed extensively by the same owner for 37 years from Maine to the Bahamas many times over. She has been well maintained and upgraded through out her life. Recent upgrades include a new cabin sole, fresh paint down below, new upholstery in the main salon, and marine A/C'.
- The Unstayed Cat: Ketch rig is a pleasure to sail and offers many advantages over a sloop rig in terms of convenience, safety, and even in performance. It points well and tacking is no problem.
- The Leeboards are trouble: free and open to inspection, unlike centerboards. They drastically improve the windward performance and help balance the helm to allow the Sea Pearl to self steer to windward. There is no obtrusive centerboard trunk inside the boat. This gives you more usable space and a large flat surface to walk, sit, or sleep on. You can even sit in lawn chairs if you wish.
- The Sea Pearl's leeboards are fiberglass, airfoil: shaped, and have a large lead "shoe" on the bottom to add weight down low and to absorb impacts with rocks or sandy bottoms. They weigh about 35 pounds apiece and each is hauled up by a pennant/cam cleat arrangement.
- Introduced in 1980, the Westerly Fulmar was the second design by Ed Dubois for Westerly, the first being the smaller Griffon 26. It was intended as a replacement for the Laurent Giles 31: footers (Westerly Longbow, Berwick, Renown and Pentland), but was a substantially higher performance yacht, so much so that they were used for match racing and race training. The main production run of the standard Fulmar 32 ended in 1992 with over 400 built, but a very few Fulmar 33s were built up to around 1996, these later boats having a modified transom with 'sugarscoop' boarding platform.
