Beneteau First 40 - : handed or with minimal crew. Upwind she cuts easily through the seas and downwind she is a power house. Downwind sailing with the spinnaker is a snap thanks to the "shotgun" spinnaker pole system. All lines are led aft to the cockpit for safety and convenience, tacking is as simple as turning the wheel. She sails well in all conditions and is a stiff boat in heavy air and seas.
