- Description: Mother and father (original owner commericial airline captain) sailed on Long island sound and cruised from LI sound to points north east 1978 to 1985, then on Port Royal Sound South Carolina 1985 to 2002, then by me on Chesapeake 2007 to present (day sailing only). Meticulously maintained by Dad until no longer able circa 2002. Transferred to me and transported to Middle Penninsula Virginia in 2006. Ivresse is in original configuration with much maintenance and work over the years to keep her in "classic" shape. All original records and invoices are available. Very short Synopsis: Original Yanmar engine runs beautifully. Original sails include Main sail, working jib, storm jib and 125% Genoa all inspected, cleaned w/some new sewing 2007. Standing rigging and electrical replaced 2007. New electric bilge pump (manual bilge pump still operative, too) new cockpit compass 2007 to fit original bulkhead location. Engine rebuilt in Florida 2008. Other old-replaced-with-new since 2007 includes but not limited to Head, curtains, etc. Needs re-upholstery on cabin settee cushions and V-berth or cushion replacement. 25 to 30 K spent since 2006 n.i. slip fees, taxes etc. Teak needs work mostly out but basically good condition. Interior teak good to excellent. New bottom paint every two years. Many extras (life jackets, fire extinguishers, Chesapeake charts, new-in-box forward and aft vents/funnels, engine and galley stove parts and filters, raw teak lumber for exterior if needed replacement, to name a few). Everything works. ALSO, 8' Nor'easter sailing dinghy also available fiberglass and teak with mast and boom, sail, rudder, daggerboard, oars; It also sails beautifully. Pix and records available on request, questions answered on request. Must sell this season to the right buyer. Ivresse deserves to be cruised by someone who appreciates a classic.
