• This sailboat was built by Morgan Yachts for the 1989 Dallas Summer Boat Show and has boat show quality with plus: plus details. I am the original owner. The engine, sails, and interior has been kept in perfect condition. Two new batteries, and new genoa sail cover have just been added. Main sail cover is two years old. Sails are crisp. The battery charger is a Newmar and only three years old. Propane stove is like new. New Head Feb. 2016. Shower in head area. Bottom job, new lights on mast, and mast step now steel reinforced in July 2013. Has depth and knot meter. Bimini with new straps. USCG Documented. Ready to sail! Dock fee paid till May 1. • KATE II had an illustrious racing career in the Pacific Northwest, and won her share of trophies, most notably the 140: mile Swiftsure Lightship Classic that runs the entire length of the Juan de Fuca Strait, from Victoria, B.C., around the lightship on the Swiftsure Bank at the entrance to the strait, and back. Between 1957 and 1962 KATE II won her class five times, earning the nickname "Consistent Kate." In the 1960 race she took the Swiftsure trophy for 1st place overall.
