- When that re: fit was done, we trailered her out to CA and cruised the Channel Islands for a week. So far as I know, this one week was the only time that Relative Wind has ever been in salt water. She is rigged with all lines led to the cockpit so she is very easy to handle with just one person. I can also deliver the boat to California and beyond, the details to be hashed out.
- The result is a slim, fair underbody, with low wetted surface. In profile, the 37 looks as long and sleek as a lot of 40: footers. The secret, as it turns out, is that the boat gradually stretched out during the design process until its final overall length was almost 39ft. This is, of course, an excellent way to improve the looks of almost any yacht. The C&C 37 /40 looks sweet from every angle, with a nice sheerline, plenty of bow overhang and a sleek, unobtrusive cabin.
- REMARKS: This boat sails well and is a very accommodating 31 footer with an attractive interior. Its deep keel and taller mast enables it to perform significantly better than the centerboard version. The T shaped cockpit allows for easy access from the helm position. Engine access is from both interior and cockpit sole.
- ACCOMODATIONS: RECENTLY UPDATED TEAK INTERIOR, V-berth with drawer and open storage (below). Enclosed Head with Raritan Toilet & Shower. Vanity w/ storage & S/S sink, Hanging Locker.
