- The Nonsuch 30 is a 1980 Classic, hull #33. It has a diesel engine with a saildrive two blade fixed prop. Originally it had a folding prop but it proved to be problematic. The boat has just the basic inventory : no dodger, no bimini, etc.. The lines are just a few years old ( halyards, sheet, dock lines ). I was going to take the sail in to have two batten pockets sewn but haven't done so yet. I was also going to have the knot meter and depth sounder replaced before the start of the season. The hull is in good shape as is the interior. The boat has been a one owner boat and has been tended to as need arose. The boat has only been cruised twice on Lake Ontario and day sailed the rest of the time. In fact, over the last few years it hasn't even left its dock ( no time to sail ). - Description: The Catalina 28mkII incorporates many modern features in this classic design of innovation and traditional value. Examples are wide decks going forward, stern boarding platform with walk through transom and a roomy cockpit with stern pulpit observation seats. The masthead rig has double spreaders with fore and aft lower shrouds permitting powerful headsails and inboard tracks for good windward performance. The interior is spacious with plenty of natural light and ventilation through 3 hatches and 5 operating portholes. The headroom is generous and all six berths are extra long. A great cabin layout has the galley and head aft for convenience to the cockpit. The galley has numerous compartments for storage, a stainless steel sink, and gimbaled stainless steel L.P.G two-burner stove with oven. Three separate cabins give the crew privacy and storage.
