Catalina Capri 30 description

  • She is of semi-light displacement form with a minimum of wetted surface, a high ballast: displacement ratio, flush deck and a divided cockpit. The standard layout includes an owner's stateroom with a private head and stall shower, spacious main salon with a convertible dinette and galley, a large chart table and oilskin locker. Minerva has been updated to convert the owner's cabin into a large interior space with 4 side berths. The head in the main cabin was removed in favor of storage space and a water heater for the shower. The head and shower for the owner's cabin is now the main head and shower for the boat. The oilskin locker was replaced with a fuse panel and she now has AC/DC power, a refrigerator/freezer combo, GPS, and hot/cold pressure water.
  • Catalina built over 1800 34's. This 1990 model has the best mix of options for your dollar : the larger four cylinder ( 30 hp ) diesel inboard; the keel stepped mast; and the walk thru transom with the swim platform. These features were all incorporated into the MK II version but they usually cost 20 to 40 thousand more.
  • Illusions is the perfect boat to single: hand, but has plenty of room for two. She is the largest 29 ft boat you will ever set foot on. The Island Packet is roomy, spacious, comfortable and built for ocean sailing conditions. A new 30 hp Yanmar engine was installed in 2013 and has only 290 hours on it. A new fuel tank was installed at the same time. This is a beautiful boat to take on that extended cruise that you have always dreamed of. She has taken me to the Bahamas six times and on a five year cruise through the Eastern Caribbean. With the wind generator, solar panel and five batteries in the house bank, you can anchor in that deserted anchorage for as long as you want without worrying about running the engine to charge the batteries. Living on this boat has been a dream come true, and now it can be your dream.
  • 'Catalyst' is a well maintained 1982 crusier/racer rated PHRF-162, Adler Barber Cold Machine Refrigeration, Propane two: burner stove w/oven, Lewmar 2 speed winches. Roller furler. Buhk MD 20 diesel engine. Main, 150%, 135%, and 110% sails. Edson wheel steering. Raymarine ST4000 Auto pilot. New Garmin GPSmap 451s/depth finder. New 20" Flatscreen TV in 2012. New deck hatches and port lights in 2010. New Bimini and Main sail cover in 2009. New interior headliner in 2011. Included is a hard bottom dinghy with electric motor.
  • Sport Edition: Brand new never been in the water
  • Much: loved 1998 Mariner centerboard sailboat, in very good condition, ready to sail
  • This particular vessel has had two caring owners to date and shows well for it. The recent engine re: power (2011), electronics upgrades and rig upgrades are examples of the care and renewal this vessel has received. The new owner may appreciate a unique quality feature such as the three way hydraulics that control the boomvang, backstay and babystay. The attractive teak decks provide great traction, have received good maintenance and show well. There is an inventory of sails and enough gear to get you sailing today, this is a turnkey vessel that is ready to make you smile.

She has a Dickinson Newport cabin heater (including a 2 gallon gravity fed diesel tank) with a heat exchanger to keep the place warm (Hetex should be hard wired). She has a large lighted compass at the helm along with a depth sounder and windspeed indicator. Her Verizon Maxi VHF is in the cabin.
