• Description: The Wyvern is a welded steel, cutter rigged sailboat designed by Brent Swain and professionally built by shipwright Dean Sevold in 1995. This hull design features twin keels, a raked bow, hard chines, curved transom and is finished in black with a red boot stripe. Topsides, the foredeck has a bowspit, anchor windlass, anchor rode well, forward cabin hatch and the cabin, decks and handrails are finished in white gelcoat. Inside, the interior features white laminate over plywood joinery, headliners and wall coverings with teak trim, wood soles and cloth upholstery. Forward is a private head, followed by the main salon that has to port a bench- seat/berth and galley aft, to starboard is a bench seat/berth followed by the lower helm and a quarter berth aft. When not under sail the Wyvern is propelled by a Kubota diesel that is mounted under a cover at the cabin entrance. Aft, the cockpit features wheel steering, bench seating, a lazerette access hatch, stern pulpit and safety rails. A folding aluminum auxiliary motor mount is bolted to the transom on the port side. The Wyvern is cutter rigged and is equipped with a single spreader aluminum, deck stepped mast and boom . This vessel is mounted on an EZ- Loader tandem axle, galvanized steel frame, solid bunk trailer.
