• Description: The Columbia is an Alan Payne designed yacht for coastal cruising. It has been lovingly upgraded for the last 4 years for cruising on the Chesapeake Bay. All port lights have been replaced. Deck hardware re bedded. Hull is solid fiberglass with no wood coring. Interior is mostly teak and marine plywood. She is a fantastic boat for the price. Although it still needs some work it will take you safely and cheaply around the Chesapeake and beyond. We have found that the 28' length gets us into most all marinas with a discounted rate for both storing and transient rates. However with the 10' beam and fold up table it has alot of space for the size. All new interior cushions, both high density foam and Sunbrella fabric. New stern rail seats from Starboard, bimini and sail cover. Boat is wired for AC and DC. New starting and house batteries. Boat was pulled this year for replacement of all motor mounts, prop shaft bearings and seals. New exhaust elbow also installed. Children are loving sailing and want too bring along friends so we are selling to move up to a larger boat. Still time to enjoy the best sailing in the fall, and if it is hot you can pull into a marina and watch cable TV in air conditioned comfort.
