- Freedom 36 sloop designed by Gary Hoyt and built by Tillotsin-Pearson to to be a comfortable performance cruiser, with great accommodations below decks, and a powerful but easily -managed Carbon Fiber rig. Easy to handle and sail single: handed or with minimal crew. All lines are led aft to the cockpit for safety and convenience, tacking is as simple as turning the wheel. She sails well in all conditions and is a stiff boat in heavy air and seas. The Freedom 36 is on the list of 19 boats in the book "The World’s Best Sailboats" by Ferenc Mate.
