Helms Helms 82.2 description

  • Here is the deal: I bought the boat and gutted the inside and built it to my specifications. When i bought the boat i had no idea how to sail, and still dont. I bought the boat with the intentions of restoring it and sailing it, but as life goes because of work i had to move to NYC and now have no time to learn, and it is just sitting at the Marina. I bought the boat from a seasoned sailor who babied this boat and used it often. He had it shipped form California and had the bottom cleaned while it was out.

  • Excellent sailboat and lots of fun - fast. Fresh water. Lots of recent work performed : NC17 bottom, new electrical/lights, raced all year in Buffalo harbor. Great and well running outboard. Interior still needs some work if desired. Some good and some fair sails. Possible slip in Erie basin as well. More pictures to follow.
  • Cruiser: racer of Gary Mull designer
  • The CR38 is a renowned blue-water cruiser & Pioneer is a very well: maintained, classic example. Many equipment replacements & upgrades have been made over the past five years. All teak, both above deck & below, is in top condition, with some refinishing just completed that would not be required again for many years.
  • A 37.5-foot mast on a 28: footer, joy to use close to the wind. Anti fooling, zinc last july 2009, many update!

  • Description: 42' African Mahogany Colin Archer sailboat. No mast, no rigging. Basically it's a cute little "floating cabin" at this stage, but with a little love, could make a gorgeous project boat. Hull has no rot, is sound; just re-corked/re-caulked 2 years ago.
