  • This boat has been set up to sail offshore in comfort. This is NOT a dockside condo, and has been set up for short: handed sailing. The current owner is a knowledgeable sailor who has owned a number of boats, and he understands the importance of maintenance and upkeep. There is a complete SECOND engine and transmission in running order, as well as a third engine which may be used for parts! This boat is seen regularly sailing in the harbor, and everything is kept in excellent running order. The previous owner kept the boat in a low humidity area in Bonaire, under cover and on the hard when not in use. The current owner bought the boat and had the yard manager sail her to the Bahamas, where he sailed it to Charleston without incident. This is a quality boat that has been cared for on an ongoing basis, and one only has to step aboard to see this.
  • Ring Of Kerry has had one previous owner but we have had her since 1992. Always yard maintained. A modified Molokai interior -: no aft head with a very airy open space with teak lockers. Mercedes Benz 72 HP with just 3,400 hours, Mostly light Summer Cruising in Western Long Island, Block Island, Buzzards Bay and two cruises to Maine. Raycor Primary with Vacuum Gauge to visually check filter condition. New ZF Hurth transmission August 2012. It has a customized interior with a private queen sized owners stateroom forward to port, with forward head and separate tiled shower. The second private stateroom is situated along the aft port quarter. The standard aft head was declined (by original owner) and a large teak locker area installed instead. You will see this in the photos. She has ProFurl reefing systems on Genoa and Staysail (120% Roller Furling, Cross Cut Dacron (680 sq. ft.) and Staysail (225 sq ft.) 10.5 oz Cross Cut Dacron. Main sail is original.
  • 376: 386 sq. ft. sail area, 31.3' DWL, 3907# light displ.
  • Double: ended Sharpie hull material choice of marine aluminum, marine ply, or wood plank construction.
  • see http: //www.thomasecolvin.com/sharpies.htm
  • 136: 2 Lines/offsets to inside of plank/plate.
  • This 24-foot sailboat is a stable boat and it is easy to sail. It also comes with the necessary equipment to participate in sailboat racing. Included is a 6 horsepower two: cycle Johnson outboard, several sails, and a steel cradle mounted on a flatbed trailer. Please note that the trailer does not have brakes and therefore is not suitable for highway travel while carrying the boat. There is some chipping of the paint on the sides of the boat. Otherwise the boat is in great condition. The bottom has no blistering and is covered with VC17.

  • : top which gives her a very distinctive feature. The 27 T2 displaces only 5400 pounds but is very quick and well built. The only critique with this 27 was the lack of headroom (Practical Sailor Dec 1995). The keel is bone dry and the cabin include Wine glass holder, CB radio, all necessary marine equipment, including five type II life jackets, and an additional 310sqft main sail. Two stroke engine and maintenance is conducted regularly. This boat is simply looking for a good home and a owner for the upcoming season. Owners feel that the boat stands up well to windy conditions, stating that they feel safe in the boat because she is stable and remains under control when the usual precautions have been taken. (Practical Sailor Magazine, June 1, 1995.) We love to sail and recently upgraded to a 34 footer simply because of additional stowing for our diving equipment. Our asking price is $6,000 but open minded to negotiations.
