Hunter 28.5 description

• Also included is a recently tuned up 6 hp long: shaft Tohatsu outboard with tiller extender, alternator, external fuel tank, new fuel line, and engine stand, Theboat has all lines run aft so the boat can be singlehanded. Boat is on a Baja trailer for easy launching, and has a fully retractable keel. Includes many extras as well such as solar panel, boathooks, throw cushion, fire extinguisher, dock lines and a toolbox full of pins, shackles, tools etc. I'm selling everything for $7500. • Hull: 44' 13m loa 12'6" beam semi finn keel for low drag and underwater hard chine for shoulder stability under sail. Relatively flat hull plates extend from near the bow almost to the transom providing racing sled like performance off the wind... Joe Adams also designed this cruising hull with a high bow and a lot of beautiful sheer. Harrier can be driven hard into a head sea while remaining dry and sea kindly... Steering is provided by a skeg hung rudder and rack and pinion stainless wheel... Large rudder is hung directly behind large 3blade prop for superior handling and backing..
• Weight: 7,40T / 8,50T with equipment
• Ballast: 2.5 tons of lead, restoring torque of 5000M/KG
• Rigging: Ketch - 380g/m2 : 26m2 mainsail, 10,5m2 mizzen, 13m2 staysail, 43m2 furling genoa Profurl (new bearing end 2010), 6m2 stormjib. Mainsail and genoa still making the job but new ones should be considered for offshore sailing.
