- I purchased this PY26 Sloop in 2008 from the family that bought it new and kept it looking and feeling new as well. The name combined the wife/mother-son: daughter’s names Marabe. To be honest I didn’t have the heart to change the name and as the boat was hauled from their home all of the family stood and watched – it had been their loved summer place all during their “growing up” years and accommodated grandchildren too. I am retiring and sadly offering this wonderful sloop for sale.
- This J: 105 was shipped to the Caribbean for the Heineken regatta in St Maarten in 2003 in which it competed on five separate occasions between 2003 and 2011, together with two Antigua Sailing Weeks in 2003 and 2006.
- Completely rebuilt(2001: 2008)and well maintained vessel(hull#49) just back from Bahamas! Hunter Cherubini 37 equipment- * Ground Tackle : Manson Supreme Anchor hooked to 144' of chain.
- We leave the boat in for two : three years at a time. With the Red under the dark blue I can tell when we are getting close to needing a haul out for bottom paint.
- Engine: Yanmar 3 cylinder, 27HP, a new Centrex engine muffler, recent oil analysis indicates the engine is in great shape This engine is fitted so it can be manually started!!
- Electronics: An Icon VHF radio, Garmin ECHOmap 50 with new 8 pin transducer(2013). This is a GPS and sonar system for the depth with depth alarm.
- Self: tending stays'l (excellent)
- *Yaesu FT: 890 all band SSB/HF w/phone patch
- *Head Compartment : ALL plumbing has been replaced, Holding tank, All lines are Vetus high quality.
- Y: valve for overboard discharge (With Gusher lever pump.) or deck pump out.
- Galley: Got rid of the kerosene stove and placed a butane stove. Modifications to the galley area have resulted in a much improved galley storage area.
- The V: Berth cushions are also origanal and are still in great condition.
