- Description: A classic blue water sailing vessel. It's design was inspired by the lines of an ocean going tug with a high bow and trim stern. She was designed and built to be sea kindly and capable of handling anything the ocean might dish out. The Lord Nelson 41 has a displacement weight of 34,000 lbs. The molded lead ballast is encapsulated within the full keel. The deck stepped mast is supported by a solid rosewood compression post. The bow sprit is 7 feet long providing increased sail area and a tight sheeting angle for the headsail. Even with her generous weight and comfort, she’ll give lighter boats a good run. One owner said their Lord Nelson regularly humiliates larger and supposedly faster boats especially if the seas kick up.
Hunter Hunter 37 description- The previous owner spent a year and a half sailing up the Caribbean chain of islands while he outfitted the sailboat for a trans: Atlantic crossing. He toured the Med and sailed back down to the Caribbean. This sailboat design is a proven model for this type of cruising. Subsequently, the boat has a great deal of safety gear for emergencies and for peace of mind. A list is provided in the specifications section.
