Boat type: sailing yacht Boat name: Irwin Citation Boat length: 10.36m / 31.5ft Price: $36000 Country: USA Location: Michigan, Windsor Contact with seller by phone: 226-345-9678
Irwin citation 34 - Draft: 4.5
- Description: 1975 16 ft. DS-16 for sale, only 500 lbs, crafted by Schwill Yachts, Inc. This nifty little sailboat is in ok shape, for the most part, for its age. I have put some work into it since I bought it a couple of years ago, but it could use some more work. She is ok for sailing now, but she's currently on blocks at a boat yard near Toms River. NO MOTOR, and NO TRAILER. Main sail is ok. Comes with two decent jibs. This is an ideal opportunity for a young to middle-aged person, engineer type, who knows how to sail and who would have the time to tinker around with a sailboat and go sailing, but who doesn't have a whole lot of money to spend on a sailboat. Need to sell soon. The cost of the boat would also include a boat slip, good till the end of September, but you would have to pay the boat yard $150 to put it in the water; or you could take it away with a proper sized trailer (which probably would be best considering that the boatyard is best suited for locals with small motorboats, not sailboats.) If you are seriously interested, let me know. Email only. Jeff. (This ad will be removed as soon as the boat is no longer available.) The price is firm and will not be changed.

Irwin citation 34 description- She has a comfortable interior for cruising. V-berth forward with filler followed by the head to port and hanging locker opposite. The main salon is very accommodating with U: shaped dinette to port and settee to starboard. Next is the navigation station and quarter berth to port with a large wrap galley to starboard. Centerline companionway leads to a large cockpit with wheel steering. The cockpit has a nice table for dining and wide decks for excellent access forward. This vessel has bran new paint on deck(white) and hull(blue). The interior wood work is completely refinished. There is 6’2” headroom below and she has minimal freeboard.
- I re: designed the rig as a balanced lug on wooden spars with an aluminum mast. The sail was professionally made by Andy Soper of Kingston, Ontario, and has two sets of reefing points set up with jiffy reefing. She has a nice downhaul system specially designed to facilitate tensioning the rig and making adjustments from the helmsman's position while underway. Her centerboard is galvanized steel (weighs about 100 LBS), and is easily lifted with an attractive custom winch mounted on the case. Removable wooden outboard bracket which is mounted on the port quarter.
