Islander 36 description

• OVERVIEW: We've had more fun sailing this islander over the last ten years than you can imagine, the classic look turns heads everywhere we sail and we've won or placed in many races, She sails like a dream, smooth and straight in high or low winds, we enjoy the standing head room down below and the spacious cabin
• New cushions and covers, new paint in and out, masts recently re: stepped. 4 head sails, main and mizzen all in good to new shape. Extra rigging, stay cables and blocks. The ropes are only 2 years old. Teak decks, cedar strip plank hull, teak stanchions, oak ribs. Very nice lines, classic look.
• FEATURES: Two good sized beds sleep two couples and a quarter berth for a single, The shore power at our A dock charges the eight batteries up easily. Our dock at the Bitter End Marina in beautiful lake Pend O Reille is transferable to the new owner.
• Engine: We took out the old Westerbeek Diesel engine and replaced it with a new equally powerful 15 horse power electric Thunderstruck motor, this upgrade cost about 5000 dollars and was installed professionally two years ago, the motor sounds like a sewing machine which allows conversation to continue in the cockpit and the lack of pollution fits the boats name better "fresh air".
• FINAL NOTES: This boat has had epic sails every month of the year in spectacular settings as well as hosting casual dinners with friends. Like a real good friend.
• White spin - 2007 : Full size. Great shape, hardly used. We quit racing shortly after this showed up.
