She was built by Compass Yachts in New Zealand, one of the few shipyards to be given expressed permission by Herreshoff to build his H28 as a Fiberglass hull. She is of the Sloop variety of H28’s, making her rigging simple and inexpensive to maintain. She has safely taken her owners and crew all over the Northern Pacific. She has made the crossing from California to Hawaii, and didn't stop there, continuing on to Sitka, Alaska. From Alaska, she made the brief trip down to Anacortes, Washington.
