mariner 47' description

  • Prior to leaving on our only cruise in 2012, we invested over $40,000 in upgrades and replacements: a new North 155 genoa, Maxwell VWC 1500 windlass, Garhauer mainsail traveller with outboard control lines, lifelines replaced, new mainsail stackpack with sailcover, bimini, new isenglass in dodger
  • The boat is almost new: It has been used 3 Regattas and it has reach the top 10 of all the Regattas it raced.
  • Anti: Fouling Bottom Paint Winter 2014
  • - Water Tanks Re: glassed, Barrier Coated & Ceram Cote 54 Coating
  • US Documented vessel. Basically: This is a sound vessel with cosmetic issues that could make her look better. She is ready to use as is for coastwise/weekending, & with work would be offshore capable. Selling only because she is just a bigger boat than I want or need.
  • -: W.I.B. Crealock, Designer
  • ELECTRICAL WIRING: The boat was partially rewired for 12 volt and fully rewired for 120 volt in 2010. The new 12v /120 v distribution panel was installed in 2010. There are two sets of batteries. House batteries are located under a port side hatch in the cockpit. and engine starting batteries are under the stbd. side hatch in the cockpit. There are installed Xantrex 120v battery charger and a Xantrax 1000 watt inverter.
  • INTRO: I purchased her in Padanarum, MA in 2008, from the second owner, and restored her to better than new condition. I have cruised her extensively on the US east coast, making three trips to Maine from RI, and two trips from RI to Florida and the Bahamas. I have a logbook documenting all travels and maintenance since 2008. The boat is currently out of the water in Cape Charles, VA.
  • ENGINE: The Perkins 4-108 was rebuilt by TAD Diesels in Gloucester, VA during the winter of 2008: 2009, including the addition of a Bowman heat exchanger. The rebuilt engine has Balmar alternator, and a new TAD instrument panel installed in the companionway. A Racor filter was added, the fuel tank was drained and cleaned. A new Hurth transmission was installed in 2012. There are about 1200 hours on the rebuilt engine at this time (November 2015). The fuel tank is fiberglass and has 40 gallon capacity. The is an clean out / inspection plate on the top.
  • Sails: The North main sail is full batten, with Mack Track slides in good condition, a Genoa and Staysail that are in good condition, and the original genoa and staysail sails that are in fair condition.
  • Note: pics from stern quarter and inside of cockpit do *not* represent colors faithfully. All pics from this year, most in past 2 months.
  • new interior upgrades include: new ultraleather upholstery, teak and holly sole, custom granite countertops with stainless lids and doublemount stainless sink, all water and sump pumps, new engine motorounts, cutlass bearing and stuffing box.
