Menger 19 description

  • At the same size as many 22-foot to 24: foot sloops, she is the perfect pocket cruiser. The cabin has sitting headroom for a 6' 8" person, and the bunks measure 10 feet so there is ample room for you to sleep. The cockpit is large enough for eight people to sit comfortably.
  • With all lines leading back to the cockpit, the boat is easily single: handed. Her shallow draft allows access to many anchorages unavailable to other cruisers. With a trailer and a tabernacle folding mast (easily raised by one person), your cruising range is unlimited.
  • Ful equipment : Generator 10 KVA, Air conditionning 36000 BTU, Watermaker 150 L/H, THIS UNIT IS WELL EQUIPPED
  • The hull is heavily built with hand: laid fiberglass, and the boat is reinforced at all stress points with marine plywood laminated to the hull, deck, and cabin top. An integral fiberglass hull liner provides additional strength. A few boats were built with a fixed keel and an inboard engine.
  • - Fully: battened main sail on a rotating mast
  • - Roller: furling jib for total control
  • The “Grande Dame” is a 34’ : 1950, Henry Hinckley Co., Classic – a Yachtsman’s sloop in striking condition. Cedar on oak construction with varnished mahogany cockpit and cabin trunk, teak deck and cockpit sole, Sitka spruce mast, main and club jib booms, cast iron keel ballast and a 30hp Universal Atomic Four engine.
