• 1986 Hobie 16 "HOGSBREATH 1000" Catamaran -: That year the best Hobie racers in the world competed for five days across 694 miles of open Gulf of Mexico waters in what is considered one of the most grueling offshore sailing marathon races in the world. There were twelve teams from six countries. This boat which I am selling was one of the three Australian boats entered in that race. And the Australians won!
• Even with all the upgrades : The boat is Racing Class Legal for all Hobie Sanctioned races.
• V: berth forward with lots of storage on shelves, and under the berth. Custom made 10'/25 cm latex mattresses.

• Hull and deck: She has recently had her hull faired and topsides and deck painted, 2012: 2014. Hull and deck both sounded well before purchase, with no springy spots noted. Hull is solid laminate, no core. All deck fittings and winch gear are included in sale, but will require installation and bedding in the spring.
• I don't want to scrap her out: I want another dreamer to have the chance to afford his or her dream.
• Auxiliary propulsion and mechanical: Atomic 4 engine installed. The engine turns over with good compression. Fuel tank is clean and in good condition. Comes with Martec folding prop.
• Steering: Inboard rudder, tiller steered. The rudder is NEW with NEW rudder post bushings, a common failure area on older Pearsons.
