O'Day 17' description

  • Google the boat for more photos. Co: ownership and/or business charter arrangement also considered, boat is fully licensed for charters with website and branding.
  • Oday: like Daysailer for sale. Moving out of state. Must sell immediately. Price negotiable.
  • LAYING: Langkawi Malaysia
  • Reinforcement: foam filled longitudinal s, frames, and deck stiffeners
  • FAST: Start with a hull with sweet, easily driven lines that are most pleasing to the eye. Add a deep keel and a tall bendy mast with triple spreaders, rod rigging and fully battened North Spectra sails. Infinity’s cutter rig has a high sail area to displacement ratio. Control all this with electric winches and a Navtec hydraulic back stay and boom vang system. All this adds up to a fast cruiser, 200 mile days are common.
  • Designer: Pieter Beeldnijder
  • Delta: main anchor
  • The boat which was originally called OPNI (Opni (Object Planet Non: Identifie) is a legendary Libera built in 1983. It has won the Centomiglia, the Blue Ribbon Race on Lake Geneva, the Bol’dor and achieved second place at Europe Challenge. Its last victory was in 1996 at the RUNDUM (the Blue Ribbon Race on Lake Boden). Seeing the above mentioned results, it’s obviously not a brand new boat.
  • She is of semi-light displacement form with a minimum of wetted surface, a high ballast: displacement ratio, flush deck and a divided cockpit. The standard layout includes an owner's stateroom with a private head and stall shower, spacious main salon with a convertible dinette and galley, a large chart table and oilskin locker. Minerva has been updated to convert the owner's cabin into a large interior space with 4 side berths. The head in the main cabin was removed in favor of storage space and a water heater for the shower. The head and shower for the owner's cabin is now the main head and shower for the boat. The oilskin locker was replaced with a fuse panel and she now has AC/DC power, a refrigerator/freezer combo, GPS, and hot/cold pressure water.
  • Includes: Blade Set, almost new condition, rudder is equipped with Aluminum Tiller and 42" Extension Standard Rig Spar Set, straight and clean Good Condition Standard Sail, used mainly for practice, but is race ready Harken Upgraded Vang System Laser XD Control Lines
  • Every Laser in the world is identical. The strict one: design class rules ensure this remains true, making it the sailor that wins the race, not the boat. The Laser is a challenging boat that rewards athleticism, subtle steering and trimming techniques, as well as tactical excellence. It is a singlehanded Olympic class boat, also sailed at club, national and international levels.
  • For sale by owner, like: new condition 2014 Lagoon 380 S2 Catamaran, owner’s version (very popular 3 cabin version), for sale by original owner and never been chartered. She has everything you need to start cruising immediately and more. She has been meticulously maintained with thorough maintenance records and all original manuals. We are Americans who have been cruising in Europe since 2014 but now are preparing to head back to the real world.
