- Description: The Mark Marine 23’ is a solid, trailerable, single handed cruising sloop designed for ocean or lake sailing with a crew of 4 comfortably. The fiberglass swing keel is housed in a cast-iron keel, and the “kick-up rudder” is transom mounted, housed in aircraft aluminum with a wood tiller. The 28’ deck-stepped mast has VHF anteanna and steaming, anchor, spreader lights, double shrouds and split back stay. The hull, deck, cockpit and cabin liner are hand-laid fiberglass joined by stainless plates and thru-bolts. There is a bow anchor locker, and no brite work on deck, only heavy-duty marine stainless rails, bow pulpit, and stanchions with double life-lines. The cabin has teak bulkheads and trim with ample dry storage, a large private v-birth, a galley with sink, large ice box and storage, a private head with shelving and wet locker, and a salon that sleeps 2 and seats 4 with a fold-up table.
