- Description: Phoenix is a 35 foot racer/cruiser that has always been sailed in fresh water. From 2002 to 2008 she has undergone a massive renovation and is in like new condition. She sleeps 6 in two separate state rooms. The boat is an Orion 35 designed by Sparkman and Stephans, a renowned yacht designer. Interior configuration: v-birth and in the main cabin, one pilot birth on each side and one settee on each side. The boat has hot and cold running fresh water in the galley as well as the head. Opposite the head is a hanging locker and there's one more behind the nav station. There's also crew storage below the pilot births for 6 individual crew and sail/line storage under the cockpit. As for refurbishing: the bottom has been re-done; stripped faired and re-surfaced with 8 coats of interprotect 2000E barrier coat and VC-17 bottom paint. All deck hardware has been removed, holes sealed and all fasteners re-bedded. Also the deck has been re-painted with interlux epoxy paint. All interior teak has been recently refinished as well. The halyards are all lead aft to the cockpit and locked with lewmar rope clutches.
- Equipment: Nav Station; Navman Color GPS chartplotter, Raymarine VHF, Clarion am/fm cd player. Cockpit; pedastal mounted Navman(wind, speed and depth, and a mast mounted repeater). Sail inventory: new Dacron racing main, new Pentex/Mylar tape drive #1, a used but good Dacron #2, and a Pentex/Mylar tape drive #3. Two 3/4 oz spinnakers. There are also the origanal main and and #1 plus an additional older main. head-stay Tuff Luff foil. 6 lewmar winches: 2 primaries 2 secondaries and 2 cabin top mounted halyard winches. The backstay has an adjustable hydraulic tension cylinder and there is a babystay.
Orion 35 description- Included with Hawk is two sets of cruising sails, wooden settee and v-berth inserts, v: berth cushions (surprisingly comfortable, very retro). Please note though, that there is no outboard being offered with the boat. Optional addition is a 2011 refurbished road trailer.

- Here’s the list of boats less than appealing traits: It has beach rash, there was a spot of damage to the hull that was repaired before I bought it, the ropes are old, the plexiglass windows are cracked, the tiller needs to be revarnished (probably already revarnished by the time you read this), the cabin door planks work but should be replaced, the mast light’s plug is missing, the wind vein’s tail needs to be glued back on, no lid for the ice box and the cleat on the boom for the rope that keeps the main sail taught is broken.
- This boat is ready to go sailing as: is but you’d probably want to at least get a new cleat for the boom (you can just tie the rope off but I hope you’d want to show your new boat some love).

- Hull- Year 1999. Hull color is light blue. Sailed for last 2 fall seasons in high school sailing and garaged upside: down for rest of year. - Sails: Two; one practice and one race both with sail number 166108. Practice sail that oringally came with boat and used moderatly in decent condition. Newer race sail with new sail cut gently used in excellent condition used circa 10 ten times. Comes with one set of battons.
