- A lot of 22-foot boats are built to do too much. Daysailing, mini-cruisers, semi-racing boats: they wind up doing nothing really well. The Ranger 22, by contrast, is a highly specialized machine. She is, of course, a handsome, comfortable, and beautifully finished boat. But the most important thing about her is the way she sails.
- A cat: ketch is a boat with 2 masts. The main mast is in the very front of the boat, like a cat boat, and the mizzen is in the middle and almost as tall as the main. This splits the sail area into two highly manageable sails
- The trailer has excellent medium: sized beach tires (and bearing buddies), but still towed at 70mph just fine. The trailer is in great shape and has a spare tire, winch, all working lights, and a full length metal box holding everything including the wings.
- Saloon: Seating for eight around huge folding table.
- Heads: Aft with Jabsco sea toilet, shower, wet hanging locker, vanity locker and wash basin.
- Cockpit: Centre cockpit with teak laid seats. Storage under seats and in table. Large aft deck.
