  • This full keel design from Carl Alberg  is a compact yacht with "big boat" features. Trailerable and easily handled, the sloop: rigged Cape Dory 22 goes anywhere, from a lazy afternoon sail on an inland lake to overnight coastal cruising. The full keel design keeps her safe and stable on all points of sail.This beamy (7'8"), high aspect sloop drives to windward with ease and speed.

  • Aft and to starboard is the enclosed manual head plumbed via a Y: Valve to the holding tank. A vanity with storage and a sink with H&C pressure water via a "Telephone" style faucet. Ensuite shower drains to a separate sump.
  • To Port is the L: Shaped Galley with storage in several lockers and drawers. A large well insulated Refrigerator (Adler Barber) and a two burner gimbaled propane stovetop make preparing meals very convenient. H & C pressure water are plumbed into the SS kitchen sink. Further aft there are two wide 6'6" quarter berths with some storage under as well as in shelves above.
  • Her main features are a large and comfortable aft cockpit with bridge: deck and spacious lockers, a big deckhouse enclosing the living or day area and a flush deck over the main accommodation area. The deckhouse is spacious and light, and generally a comfortable place to be whether at sea or in port. The flush deck and heavy scantlings produce an extremely strong structure with a large area for sunbathing and for safe, unobstructed deck work.
