  • Description: I am listing this boat for a friend, but have access to the boat and will try to answer all of your questions. You can visit the Solings Website or the sailboat.data site to learn much of the long time one design racer. The boat is in average condition. The current owner no longer had the ability to sail the boat and would like to find her a good home. It does come with a trailer. The current condition of the boat is pretty dirty and does need some cosmetic care. It appears to be sound in the deck and sole area's. The sails are dirty and in need of a good cleaning. I think there is a small tear in the jib about 2" long. The sail covers will most likely need to be replaced. Some of the lines are also dirty and some most likely in need of replacement. The trailer will need the bearings repacked and serviced prior to any trip of length and I am unsure of their condition but I do have a trailer wholesaler close and can get anything pretty reasonable. A boat in very good condition would be worth about $6500-7000 range. This boat is not in that good of condition. Currently it is worth maybe $1,500. As I do work on boats if you are not of a mind to or do not know how to work on boats, I can do any or all items you may required done at a discount rate or with an increase in the price of the boat. So you have the opportunity to take the boat as is or get it at any point nearing pristine condition. I can also deliver partial or anywhere in the US and Canada for you if need be, again, all of this would affect the final price. This is a stable fast, easy to sail boat that is a day sailor/racer. It would work well for any level of sailor as it is stable, forgiving yet technical enough to grow up your skills in. So if you have an interest or questions please feel free to e-mail or call. I would recommend e-mail at I am gone some delivering boats and doing in the field retrofits all over the US. Good luck with your search what ever you end up sailing, just get out there!
  • Equipment: I have not had a chance to talk with the owner regarding any ancillary equipment. I also will be trying to get some good weather for photo's and posting them. I have just put in an arbitrary price and the final price will be influenced by what you may want done, if delivered or what ever. I also have not as yet seen the tittle as the owner is getting it for me to be certain of the year, but he believes it to be 1973.
