• Description: 1985 34' Tartan 34-2 sloop designed by Sparkman and Stevens. Constructed of FRP a displacement hull with scheel keel and spade rudder. Boot stripe is navy on white hull, deck is white with sand colored nonskid. Underwater surface is painted with copper colored VC-17. Interior is finished teak with white FRP. Fabric on quarter berth, stateroom and solon cushions is navy. Cabin features mid size salon with settees to starboard and port with drop leaf table aft the mast. Galley is on the starboard side adjacent the companionway, navigation station on port. Galley includes pressurized alcohol stove/oven, hot/cold running water with ice box and refrigeration. Ventilation: 4 opening ports on each cabin side; another in the quarter berth, two large hatches forward vee berth, one in main salon and 2 dorade vents
• Equipment: Steering and engine controls are mounted on a Edson pedestal with compass and GPS. Aft cabin bulkhead has knot/depth/wind and auto pilot instruments. VHF is in the cabin on the port side adjacent companionway. Sail controls lead aft to the cockpit and include head sail/genoa and spinnaker sheets/halyards, winches and brakes. Aft cockpit, forward the steering, are headsail winches and main sheet the traveler. The head sail sheet blocks and sail tracks are fore and aft adjacent the cabin superstucture on the side decks. The mast steps on the keel. An anodized slotted tow rail runs fore to aft on the gunwales. Canvas includes a navy colored dodger, bimini, connecting paned with side curtains for full cockpit enclosure, vinyl cushions provided for all cockpit seating. Mast and boom are Kenyon aluminum. The keel stepped mast has double spreaders with upper and lower 1X19 shrouds and forstays with Harken furler system and hydraulic Navtec backstay adjuster. Sail inventory includes full batten main, 130% genoa and 3/4 spinnaker. New bilge, new battery charger.

• The previous owner spent a year and a half sailing up the Caribbean chain of islands while he outfitted the sailboat for a trans: Atlantic crossing. He toured the Med and sailed back down to the Caribbean. This sailboat design is a proven model for this type of cruising. Subsequently, the boat has a great deal of safety gear for emergencies and for peace of mind.  A list is provided in the specifications section. 
• 1980 J24 Hull #2207 is for sale. Boat was completely re: done prior to the 2012 worlds in Rochester, NY. Faired keel, interlux 2000 bottom sanded to 800 and polished, deck repainted with Interlux perfection and Kiwi grip. Boat is a minimum weight.
