Westsail 32 description- Hull: 44' 13m loa 12'6" beam semi finn keel for low drag and underwater hard chine for shoulder stability under sail. Relatively flat hull plates extend from near the bow almost to the transom providing racing sled like performance off the wind... Joe Adams also designed this cruising hull with a high bow and a lot of beautiful sheer. Harrier can be driven hard into a head sea while remaining dry and sea kindly... Steering is provided by a skeg hung rudder and rack and pinion stainless wheel... Large rudder is hung directly behind large 3blade prop for superior handling and backing..
- 6. Trailer bearings all re: done summer of 2011, Good tires and spare included. Replaced all hardware, planking, guides, new 3200lb Winch, stainless bolts. New safety chain. Over $900 on trailer modifications and support frame.
- 3. New ICOM IC: M304 VHF marine radio. Mounted inside hatch for easy access while underway. new coax to the mast head antenna.
- 4. New In: dash Ritchie Compass with lighting.
- Documented 1982 Westsail 32 launched in 1987. Yanmar 3QM30F diesel with less than 800 hours, w/Fresh: water cooling system. Outboard rudder with fiberglass gudgeons & bronze pintal pins, SS box & laminated tiller. Standard Westsail interior layout. Interior includes Teak & Holly sole, solid 3/4" teak tongue & groove, and 3/4" ash overhead. Interior finished with Cetol. 10 large bronze opening portlights w/ screens
- 2 large skylight hatches (salon & forward). Small double SS sink w/ fresh & salt water. Fresh water Capacity: 80 gal SS water tanks in centerline of bilge. Exterior woodwork is teak; most needs refinishing (previously finished with Cetol). Bowsprit is laminated fir & needs replaced (new cypress bowsprit is laminated but not shaped or installed). Exterior fiberglass & gelcoat is in fairly good condition. She has some slight dockrash (gelcoat damage only in a few small spots), which need repair. Needs bottom cleaning & paint. If you have not seen this bost, please do not show your ignorance by asking me what the lowest amount is that I will take. If you want more info or additional photos please be specific. Heavy standing rigging in good condition, running rigging needs replaced. Dodger & Bimini in good condition. Fuel capacity: two 30 gal. black iron diesel fuel tanks. Electrical system includes two 12-volt batteries (engine room) with charger & 3 position switch, 12 volt and 110 volt panels with 17 circuit breakers (& full shore power), Electronics include: Apelco VHF Radio (masthead antenna), Apelco Loran, Furuno GPS, Signet combo Depth/Speedo, Marine CD/Stereo, Plath compass, and Navico tillerpilot autopilot. 45 lb. plow w/ 170 ft 3/8" chain forward on rollers w/ ABI Bronze manual windlass , 30 lb. Danforth w/ 150 ft. of 3/4" nylon rode on stern. Much more equipment onboard. Will consider smaller sailboat as part trade.
