Whitby 42' description- We purchased BG in January of 2013 and began refitting her shortly thereafter. Aside from minor/major cosmetics, in late 2013 we painted the hull, re: decked her inside and out, added new Yanmar 54 HP engines (4JH5E/SD60), Doyle sails and cradle, Cruiseair ACs(3), Outback inverter, over 800 watts of thin film solar panels, underwater lighting, and numerous smaller enhancements like Sirius radio and weather.. In October 2015 we added a Spectra Ventura 200T watermaker and converted her electric heads to fresh water flush. Engine hours as of September 2016 are 950 each, with new clutch kits on both sail drives.She might best be described as a 2014 boat with a 2006 hull. She is cruise ready and better than new.

- The layout of the interior is functional with a V: berth, head forward, and with proper settee berths in the main salon forward of the galley & navigation station. Aft to starboard is a cabin with double berth and to port is a second head. The 43hp Volvo engine is located under the galley sink.
- A fine example of these world cruisers and live: aboard vessels. Her life started in Lake Superior, in Wisconsin, and then she was moved to Texas. The owners at the time cruised her for a number of years across the gulf to the Bahamas, and ended up in Charleston. The boat then spent an extended period of time in Charleston, including a trip to the Bahamas. She then returned to Wisconsin in 2008, and has been in fresh water since then.
