Bristol 38.8 description

• "STAR" is a beautifully maintained and thoughtfully upgraded example of the ever popular Bristol 38.8. She was built by Bristol yachts of the finest materials to a sea: kindly design of Ted Hood and Dieter Empacher. "STAR" was built with optional tall toe rail package which integrates the bow, midships and stern chocks to the rail while creating an elegant sheer profile to the integrated stainless steel bow roller. She has polished stainless steel dead light frames which is an upgrade from the standard, and often pitted, aluminum stock frames. Her interior varnish gleams and her knowledgeable owners have improved, upgraded and maintained her systems from hoses to an engine exhaust temp alarm. This is the only Bristol we have ever had the pleasure of representing that has cockpit drain hose seacocks that can be turned without the handle! There is no other vessel at this price point and quality of build know to this office as capable and well maintained. Highly recommended.

• Entering the boat down the companionway : you are immediately greeted by a bright varnished teak & holly sole, abundant varnished cabinetry throughout and brilliant natural light from the clear ports and hatches.
• The Galley is immediately to port in a u-shaped arrangement. It is equipped with a three-burner Force: 10 stove located centrally, a double deep stainless sink facing forward with new mixing faucet and separate spray nozzle. There is also a seagull water filter for drinking water. A deep refrigerator is facing aft fitted with Frigaboat keel cooler refrigeration. There is plenty of storage located outboard with louvered door cabinets and teak holders for cups and glasses.
