Catalina 25 - Description: 1981 Sloop rigged Catalina 25’ swing keel with electric start 9.9 hp outboard on newly painted trailer. New cockpit and settee cushions covers. A bimini top keeps the cockpit cool on hot days. All the lines have been replaced. Main, jib and spinnaker halyards run internal in the mast. Main and spinnaker run aft to winch on cabin top. Furling (Hood) Jib cleats to mast. Lazy jacks holds main. The boat has a long shaft 9.9 2 cycle engine with new electronic ignition. Runs great. The bottom war completely sanded before the last season that it was in the water. Used VC 17 and have enough left to do it again. Bottom was very nice. I have not used the boat in the last two years due to me having back problems. I have the boat and trailer at my home in Wichita Ks. Most of the gear is stored in a heated garage. - Equipment: CD/AM FM radio, microwave oven, battery charger with shore power cable, 16 gal water tank, head with 14 gal. holding tank make for a leisure sail. Roller-furling jib with main and lazy jacks, spinnaker with new ATK sock and custom made quick disconnect bow pulpit spinnaker storage bag make sailing easy. New Lewmar self-tailing winches take the work out of sail handling. New cabin cushions made. North jib has 5 seasons of use and the main is in good shape and should last a long time. I used the spinnaker 3 or 4 times, is very good. Most of the gear is stored in a heated garage for whatever that’s worth. Let me know if you have any questions. - I purchased this PY26 Sloop in 2008 from the family that bought it new and kept it looking and feeling new as well. The name combined the wife/mother-son: daughter’s names Marabe. To be honest I didn’t have the heart to change the name and as the boat was hauled from their home all of the family stood and watched – it had been their loved summer place all during their “growing up” years and accommodated grandchildren too.
