- Description: We have owned Bel Mer for three seasons. We rescued her when her former owner fell ill and passed way. We installed new interior, inspected & replaced rigging as needed. Installed new head gasket on the Volvo and have averaged 100 engine hrs per year since, the Volvo start easy and runs well. She is fast and nimble and handles heavy seas well. As our first 30' sailboat, she has served us well. Active Columbia users group for support. Would make a great first boat, a perfect weekend get away or could be turned into a economical live aboard. She always draws great praise for her delightful lines.
