- Description: Southwind is a 1973 Dickerson 36 ft sailboat. This beautiful sailboat is in the process of being restored to its former glory. Most of the hard work has been finished, all that’s left is to make it into the perfect boat for you! This boat is a full keel and sails very comfortably. She is a ketch rig, with the option for a staysail. All sails are original to the boat, and are in excellent condition. She is equipped with a furling Genoa. She has a 40 hp Westerbeke diesel that runs great. She is a one cabin layout, with a large V-berth forward and two storage lockers underneath. Moving aft, the head is to port and a large hanging locker to starboard. Further aft is the salon. To port is a large dinette with storage lockers underneath and along the wall. The dinette converts to a double berth. To starboard is a nice settee with tons of storage! The settee pulls out to a single berth. Aft of the salon is the galley and companion way. On deck is a cozy cockpit with storage lockers to port and starboard. All the teak accents are original to the boat and were refinished/restored in January of this year. This boat is a gorgeous work in progress, and just needs someone to come and give her a few finishing touches!
