An Icom M 710 SSB with Antenna Tuner allows for worldwide communication. 2 new (2016) AGM House Batteries (Lifeline, 4DA, 210 AH each) provide the necessary power for all electrical equipment. A separate starting battery is dedicated to start the engine only.
- Water System: 2 S/S 20 gal Holding Tanks with Y- Valve for pump: out or overboard discharge, 2 fresh water tanks (total capacity 90 gal), and a DC/ engine heated water heater providing hot water to the heads and showers located in the aft head and the swim platform.

- Illusions is the perfect boat to single: hand, but has plenty of room for two. She is the largest 29 ft boat you will ever set foot on. The Island Packet is roomy, spacious, comfortable and built for ocean sailing conditions. A new 30 hp Yanmar engine was installed in 2013 and has only 290 hours on it. A new fuel tank was installed at the same time. This is a beautiful boat to take on that extended cruise that you have always dreamed of. She has taken me to the Bahamas six times and on a five year cruise through the Eastern Caribbean. With the wind generator, solar panel and five batteries in the house bank, you can anchor in that deserted anchorage for as long as you want without worrying about running the engine to charge the batteries. Living on this boat has been a dream come true, and now it can be your dream.

Irwin Citation 31 - : equipped galley, and the spacious cockpit, ideal for relaxing and entertaining. The standing rigging, upgraded to Dynex Dux, has reduced the weight aloft, added to her overall appearance, and although unusual on vessels like Picaroon, it has improved her performance and is still in great condition. On deck, the teak has been stripped and left to go silver which looks beautiful, and easier to maintain than having to varnish every season. The teak decks need a little TLC in places but it does not leak, and the magnificent Douglas pine masts are like new. The monitor wind vane steering is a great asset and works perfectly, giving the crew time to relax on extended passages. Unfortunately, due to health reasons, we are reluctantly having to curtail our adventures in the Caribbean. Picaroon has been well maintained whilst we have been cruising and she is shipshape and ready to sail tomorrow.
