- Description: READY TO SAIL - INCLUDES MANY EXTRAS. This boat was originally designed as a light weight ocean racer but also makes a great weekender. It features a long waterline, large self-bailing cockpit, fin keel, and transom spade rudder. Her high freeboard and ballast to displacement ratio keep her stiff and dry and the reefing on the main gives all the sail control you need. Although her large cockpit was designed for holding multiple crew members for racing purposes, it also servers a great place to stretch out or have multiple guests for day cruising (in fact on a beautiful evening, my wife and I prefer to sleep in the cockpit – which is comfortable with our portable cushions – rather than in the v-berth). The cabin has a fairly large v-berth (I am 6'1" and my wife is 5'9") and even when our dog decides to join us - we all sleep comfortably. There is also a “hatch” in the v-berth area that allows for ventilation (and would also accommodate a portable air conditioner for those that are so inclined). From the cockpit, removable doors and slide back hatches allow for easy entry into the cabin area (as is not case in some boats this size). THE ONLY REASON I AM SELLING THIS BOAT IS THAT I INHERITED A 27’ HUNTER AND CAN’T AFFORD BOAT SLIP RENTALS FEES FOR TWO BOATS.
