Hunter 26 description

  • 1975 Chrysler 22 sailboat designed by Halsey Herreshoff. This is the more popular swing keel version allowing it to be towed. This version also has the pop: top allowing you to stand straight up in the cabin. Keel winch crank works well, new rudder head and bearings have been purchased and are ready for install, new rudder shaft has been installed, and half of the cabin cushions reupholstered with more fabric ready to finish. Boat sits on an included double axel trailer and includes a main, jib, and racing genoa sails. Boat is being sold AS IS and will make a great project for someone wanting a solid blue water cruiser.
  • Reason for selling: When I was younger my dad started a sailing club for kids aged 9: 15. It proved to be a highlight in my adolescent years. This boat was donated to the club which sold it to me. The idea was for me to be a skipper in the club using this boat for teaching kids about sailing. The problem is that as a full time teacher and professional musician I have not been able to dedicate the time needed to get it sailing. I'm sad to see it go. I like the layout and stability. But...with my oldest daughter having just turned 9 and the club season upon me I need to find something that is ready for the water this spring/summer. Feel free to call or text with questions.

  • Description: Plays With Sharp Objects is for sale. This is a 2007 Vectorworks blade F16 that I have been the sole owner of since new. She has been well taken care of and has had constant updates to her. She comes with 2 sets of sails, the original Glaser sails and the newer Goodall sails, both of which have done very well on the boat. She was raced for the first three years mostly single handed and then only in the last 2 years as double handed. Her decks were redone by Falcon Marine 3 years ago, and her foils have been refaired by Bowman in Pensacola. She currently has the 9 to 1 harken rachamatic mainsheet system, the ronstan rachamatic spin sheet system, and the standard jib setup. The standing rigging was upgraded 2 years ago to the newer stay adjusters. The boat includes a yard cover, stern chalks, beach wheels and road covers. A trailer is also available for this boat with a sail box and can be worked into the boat deal.
  • All new: foils, rigging, sails, paint.

  • The SPINDRIFT 46 was built by Formosa Yachts using the same molds that built the FORMOSA 46. (1980: 1984). R. Hillier, of Brisbane Australia, oversaw the building of this yacht which was to be sold in the US for Bristol yachts of Newport Beach CA. For the Australian market, they were called the HILLIER/PETERSON 46. Hillier ran afoul of designer Doug Peterson who filed a law suit. Hillier died and the suit was shelved.
  • The Hunter 33 design is well: known for its sleek appearance and speed, and has provided us with priceless adventures over the years, however it is time to pack up our sails now, and let her provide a new owner with some glorious years on the water and in the wind.
  • Custom built cold: molded cutter rigged sailboat is ready to set sail. She was launched in Vancouver, Canada in 2006 and proved herself as a reliable off shore vessel while sailing from British Columbia to sunny Manzanillo, Mexico. She has been a comfortable liveaboard for the past 8 winters and is presently in dry dock in San Carlos, Mx (only a few hours drive from Phoenix or Tuscon) where she is awaiting a new captain and crew.
  • The forward V: berth has a bunk bed arrangement, the settee in the main cabin can be used for a 3/4 size bunk, and the private aft stateroom has a queen size bed. There are two heads, one forward on the starboard side, the other aft on the port side.
