- Description: Falmouth cutters are brilliantly designed vessels. Not only can you sail her around the world, but you can also put her on a trailer and drag her anywhere you want. I dragged Dora Rose to my house (no yard fees, connivence, and always having the right tool for the job) and recently completed a year and a half overhaul ; full engine maintenance (belts, fluids, filters, oils, etc.), removed almost everything inside and outside on the boat, faired the hull, fiberglassed old holes, reinforced the cabin sole with stringers and fiberglass, removed years of old paint from all the teak, used epoxy primer and two-part paint, painted bottom, topsides, decks, interior, bilge (pictures will show this), new non-skid, rebedded everything for years to last with butal above the waterline and 4000 & 4200 below. Replaced all gaskets, port gaskets replaced, new bronze and stainless steel mounting bolts, larger stronger backing plates, purged all tanks (heater, stove, fuel), inspected and restitched all sails with a sailrite sower, had the trailer professionally refit with new wiring, new hydraulic disc brakes, sanded, primed, and painted.
