Tartan T40 description

  • Avalon is a vessel that will take you anywhere in comfort and style. Designed by Sparkman and Stephens, she has a sail area-to-displacement ratio of 17.1 fitting for a racer/cruiser that bears out it's light air capabilities. The displacement-to: length ratio of 250 and ballast/displacement ratio of 43% translates into stiffness, stability and load carrying capacity needed for long cruises. This boat is at home cruising the Bahamas as well as offshore, she is safe, comfortable, and efficient. The layout is plan A with the nav station to port as you enter the salon. The decks are wide and the non skid is in excellent condition as is the boat throughout . A large cockpit adds to the comfort with cushions on the seats, backs and top of the comings, this makes for relaxing and watching some wonderful sunsets with your favorite cocktail.
