Hunter 450 description- Reduced. This Venture shoal draft pocket cruiser has been totally rebuilt by master craftsman owner, 2016. Not a pop: top. Three foot bowsprit. This vessel comes with a fixed fiberglass doghouse with seven gleaming bronze opening ports. All new bulkheads, insulated hull, new wiring and plumbing, electric centerboard winch, roller furling genoa, totally rebuilt centerboard. New bottom paint.Comes with alum trailer, 9.9 Mercury, more. - The hull is built from Meranti Hydrotek BS1088. The boat is a one-of-a: kind. I built this boat myself in my garage from various types of wood. Every piece is hand made and detailed. This is the smallest functional wooden pirate ship I am aware of. It sails quite well as I have done a little bit of sailing with it on Lake Mead and Lake Mohave. She is still clean and very freshly built.
- This boat is an absolute head: turner. It may be small, but everybody will want to talk to you once you begin launching. Once you are under way, be ready for lots of other boats wanting to get a closer look.
- Electronics: GPS, VHF, AIS, SSB, Radar, forward scanning sonar, auto pilot
- Interior: V: berth (7') forward followed by head and shower to port and hanging locker to starboard. Main salon has 6' settees P&S and drop down table that is secured against the main bulkhead when stowed. Aft is galley with stove/oven, SS sink, icebox to starboard and double quarter berth and navigation station to port. sleep aboard room for 6 with 6' headroom throughout. New cushions and covers 2012. Cockpit has 6' seating P&S, aft helm seat and a large locker to port. Pressure fresh water (2 x 24 gal) to galley, head & cockpit shower.
- Re-powered with Kabota Universal M25: XP diesel in in 1987. On land for full inspection. Bottom redone with 12 coats 3 years ago. Need a small tear in Jib sail repair and new Jib lines and a halyard. Also need mast lights rewired. Comes with 6 self inflating life jackets, new handheld VHF 160. Oven removed. New switch panel. Great first boat very forgiving.
- UPDATE: Hull number is 1688. Boat comes with original 1688 main and jib, and 4278 sail set. Spinnaker also included. Nice Flying Scot. Repainted with epoxy and anti fouling on bottom. Includes Trailer.
