Tartan 34c description

  • She has a comfortable interior for cruising. V-berth forward with filler followed by the head to port and hanging locker opposite. The main salon is very accommodating with U: shaped dinette to port and settee to starboard. Next is the navigation station and quarter berth to port with a large wrap galley to starboard. Center line companionway leads to a large cockpit with wheel steering. The cockpit has a nice table for dining and wide decks for excellent access forward. This vessel was a shell and now has every thing New, even the stainless Port windows. The interior wood work is completely refinished with mahogany wood. There is 6’2” headroom below. Since the original listing, the dodger windows have all been replaced, a new main sail has been purchased, (The original main sail is still OK) refrigeration has been added to the ice box, the water tanks have been cleaned and rebuilt with new hoses and valves, water filter has been added, new aluminum hatches have been purchased and are ready to install in the cabin top. Port and starboard lower stays have been replaced and the back stay has been checked 100%. Forestay new when the new Harken roller furler installed. All LED lighting.   • Description: Aloha (hull #454) is a Tartan 34C (C for “classic”). With 525 boats built between 1967 and 1978. The T34C was introduced in December of 1967 and in the Southern Ocean Racing Conference’s 1968 race a T34C won her class. The boat has gone on to win numerous offshore races, including the Port Huron-Mackinac and the Marblehead-Halifax races, among many others. At least one circumnavigation and too many Atlantic and Pacific passages to list easily have been done by T34C sailors.

Tartan 34c equipment

  • Intrepid is in like new condition with excellent maintenance and care. Many excellent additions such as: electric windlass with wash down station, Garmin 5000 plotter, radar, stern davits and RIB dingy, Garmin GPS, wind, speed and depth indicators, XM radio, Bimini and dodger, custom canvas winter cover (can be used on the water or on the hard), interior carpeting as well as other smaller useful features.

  • There are two cabins on the J105. The forward V: berth is 7' long and will accommodate two. The headroom is 5'5" in the main saloon. The manual head is to port and has a wash basin with manual hand pump for freshwater. There is a hanging locker to starboard. The galley is to port and the chart table to starboard. Settees on both port and starboard side will sleep two. The storage lockers are located behind the backrests of the settees. The cabin sole is constructed from Teak and Holly. A 20 square inch hatch is located in the forward berth area.
  • The deck layout is very clean and is a benefit of the simple design. The T: shaped cockpit is very large and is separated by the main sheet traveler and is within reach of the helm. The helm is a 42 inch Edson wheel which was offered as a factory option.
